A hodgepodge of fandoms and random stuff I like.
This blog is Ace-Inclusive and Trans-Inclusive. I'm here, I'm queer, and they're as much a part of the community as I am. TERFS fuck off.
do you ever wonder if your choice of blorbo is random baby chick imprinting, or in fact a deep physiological profile that reveals all the things you need therapy for
you ever accidentally create a recurring theme in your writing. you start putting together an outline for something you’ve never written before and get partway through planning, rearrange the pieces, and go “GODDAMMIT THIS IS ABOUT GRIEF AGAIN”? because let me tell you,
March is the funniest character in ward because she is actually two separate characters in a trench coat
when she first shows up she’s basically morally dubious lesbian sherlock holmes including the coke habit
and then she gets one whiff of Lily’s splendiferous pussy from like 20 metres away and is instantly transformed into a knockoff Locked Tomb character
She’s one of the only examples of wildbow managing to write a character in a homophobic enough way that it loops all the way back around to being hilarious again
Amy loops all the way back around but then keeps going until it’s back in the horrifically offensive zone again
i’m not sure that some people understand that touya’s ice quirk got awakened only because he’s at death’s door? normally he would’ve never unlocked it, sadly.
saying that endeavor would’ve gotten the ice quirk he wanted from touya if he had been more patient and kept training him is factually incorrect.
the point is not and never was ‘touya was what endeavor always needed (quirk-wise), soendeavor could’ve had the fire-ice quirk he wanted from the very beginning if he hadn’t deemed touya ‘defective’ and stopped training him’. endeavor training his kids to achieve his own dream was never a good thing, even if touya liked it.
the point was ‘yes, touya couldn’t use his fire quirk and that was OKAY. endeavor should’ve realised that not everything is about his hero job, and find the time and a new way to engage with touya so he wouldn’t feel abandoned and replaced’.
p.s. it was never about endeavor thinking that touya is ‘defective’ either, he stopped training him because he didn’t want touya to burn and hurt himself. tragic irony.
Geten being a himura really adds nothing to the story considering how irrelevant he is. The info he dropped about the himura's really could've been explained by rei at any time. I fully believe that's the last geten "moment" in this series lmao.
I don’t think it’s completely irrelevant, because we are right now seeing the passive stay-at-home-mom walk into the combined flashfire of Enji + Touya and not only is she alive, but she’s also able to produce ice inside that inferno.
So getting the explanation of the power of her quirk is relevant, especially given the addition that Rei is the “main bloodline”, while if I get it correctly, Geten is a side-branch of the Himuras.
We’ve seen a bit of Geten’s battle feats (I remember at the time, people were very hyped), which will make whatever ice feats we are about to witness from Rei, Natsuo, Fuyumi and Touya himself feel more founded narratively despite never having formal training.
As for seeing the last of him - we’ll see. He asks Compress what the heroes / police talked to him about, so I do wonder if they will be also recruited as back up here.
When people ask me why they should pay a human translator instead of using google translate I show them this picture:
